Some of you may even be that person fighting the disease yourself. The fight takes a heavy toll on the health, emotional stamina, and finances of the person going through treatment, and no one can take up the entire burden alone. A friend of ours in Los Angeles, Jen Moorman, learned of that first-hand when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, early in the spring of 2011. Soon afterwards, she found herself faced facing mounting bills for chemotherapy, surgery, and rehabilitation, even despite having help from her health insurance provider. After hearing word of her situation, we offered to help out in one of the few ways we could- by recording a brand-new track and offering it online, with the proceeds going to assist Jen with her medical expenses. Over September into October, after receiving more than generous contributions of time, money, talent, and resources from Jim Fogarty at Zing Studios (http://www.zingrecording.com), and Joe O'Brien at Rat Pak Records (http://www.ratpakrecordsamerica.com), we hit the studio in earnest.
